My Photograph

The photograph that I like had takes it in this summer, in February when I was in my vacations with my family, a friend and my boyfriend. This photo show to my boyfriend (Alex) and me, it was really difficult took it, because Alex put the camera in a small branch of a tree with slope in the terrain and programmed the camera, and so he run to me in a few seconds. It was really funny! The place is called Lagoon El barco, a beautiful place very difficult to arrive. In the photograph also you can see the lagoon, the Cordillera de los Andes, only a few meters (Argentina is really close to this place), and ancient beautiful trees called Araucarias, witch it lives with originals peoples, the Pehuenches. I like this photograph because is a beautiful image, with green, blue, and a lot of colours, which combined I like it. Also because I’m with Alex, and he like it this photo too. He put the photograph in a photo frame in his bedroom and another in his office. All the people who see the photo in his office asked if the woman in the photo is his girlfriend (me).

A letter...

The only thing I know is that you study English Pedagogy at Alberto Hurtado University in fourth year too, and you name is Jorge. But about you life and don’t know anything. Stoneheage...a great mistery!!!

Stonehenge is one of the prehistoric monuments that guards major mystery.

This work is a monument of ancient times, is an enormous mass of rocks, visibly tidy that is located in Great Britain, specifically near Amesbury in Wiltshir. This wonder of the world, set of rocks put of form circular and composed of wood, which until today does not allow to have a clear certainty of which it was the objetive of this work.

It is believed that Stonehenge was a center of worship where their purpose was to realize religious activities, others believe that this one was a sector led to a funereal temple, in alone where certain persons, (of major importance) were dismissed here.

Another theory suggest that the aimwas rather astronomic, that is to say with this they realized celebrations for the summer solstice, where they could know since they would be the crops of every year, this according to what I have seen in National Geographic Channel or Discovery Channel.

The certain only thing of all this is that Stonehenge exceeds many architectural and astronomic current works, due to the mysticism, greatness and knowledge of the realized ones of this monument made for thousands of years ago.

A funny film

A funny film, for me is the Ice Age 1, I laughed a lot with this movie.

The first time that I saw it, maybe it was 3 or 4 years ago. Actually I don’t remember when I saw the movie. Also, always put the movie in cable television, and I see it.

The first time I saw it, I was in my house with my mother. Both saw this film, in Movie City channel; I think that my brother was there too. It’s a funny movie, for enjoy with your family.

The story is about three animals, a sabertooth tiger, a sloth, and a mammoth. The name of the first is Diego, the next is Sid, and the mammoth is Manfred, but Sid called Manny. Many and Sid found a human baby, they called “Bodoque”, and they saw when the saber-toothed tiger attacks, the human tribe, and the mother of this baby ran away with him. And so, Many and Sid took the boy and star a history for found his father. After Many and Sid took the baby, Diego joined them in this trip, and so this is the start of this group like a family or “flock”(Manada in spanish).

The technology

My favourite piece of technology is the computer, because is very useful.

The first computer in my house is since 1997 (I think so), my brother and I fighted for used it. The next year my father contracted internet. It was awesome, great, we can unload music, play in the computer, search information for ours homework, create ours first e-mails. Later the computer turned into a necessary tool, in the school, in the university and in the general life. With Internet more and more people buy a computer, a laptop and the Internet speed has become major.

The majority of the times I used my computer, in my house, when I was in my boyfriend’s house I used his laptop, and also I used the computer in the FAU.

All the weeks I used the computer, sometimes all the days, in especially when I have a work to do.

I like the computer because you can work in it with different programmers, and it’s a necessary for these days. The sum between the computer and Internet is perfect.

I have a friend called Veronica, she went away to Spain, and this is the form more easily to be able to communicate with her.

Actually I don’t know how will be the life without this. I can’t imagine

Desert cities are living on borrowed time

The entire world is meeting affected by diverse phenomena that in a few years, will bring consequences you would be.

The countries that according to the United Nations will meet more affected will be those of the Middle East and some US's cities.

It is believed also that the deserts will be good at the future, overcoat for the Solar energy and the Electricity.

My experience in english

I started to learn English since 1993, I was 6 years old, and I was in the 1st grade in the school. My teacher was called Sandra Dávila, I think so. Actually I don’t remember much. But, my English’s teacher in others grades was Sandra, also Lorena Yevenes, another teacher.
For me learning English was funny, because I understood the language very easily. In 7th grade I was learning French, it was easy too, but I don’t remember much, only the numbers and how to salute.
In both languages I was well; my grades were around 6.0 to 7.0. Never have I understood why, but always it was easy.
In my school, the English classes were dynamics, for example, we sang in English, we spoke in English, and read in English. Not for all my classmates was easy, but that’s life.
In general, I’m a good student (or not?).OK., I think that I’m a good student. For me, it's easier to understand when somebody speaks to me, is harder to talk to someone.
I can see a movie in English, with no problem. I can see a movie in English, with no problem. Also I like read the song’s lyrics, to know that I'm singing.
For another way, the English culture is interesting, with a lot of history in a hundred of years, with great writers old.
The true is that I don’t know people who speak English, except my teacher, but in my life I had to talk to people who only spoke English.
That's why I think it’s very useful to speak English to communicate with other people from other countries.

Fiestas Patrias

The Fiestas Patrias are a typical parties in where, the people celebrate every year the glories of ours army (Sep. 19), and the first Government meeting (Sep. 18). But actually I think that ours celebrate the Chilean Week, with Fondas: here sell typical food, like an empanadas, choripanes, anticuchos: typical drink like chicha, terremoto, wine in all its expressions, “piscola”, etc. and also the typical typical dance: the “cumbia guachaca”, the reggeton jijijiiji, not the typical dance is “La Cueca”, not all the people know dancing this dance, but some even try to.
I remember that once, a journalist asks to the people: what it celebrates in the Fiestas Patrias? And the most people answer “The independent of Chile”, that it isn’t true.
When I was a child I remember that my father made a barbecue, with meat, chicken, pork, etc. and salads: Chilean salad, potatoes, pebre and a lot of pepper (I don’t like it). My mother made an oven empanadas (with meat, onion, eggs and black olives, ñumi : P)
With my brothers played at little balls, but I never learned to play at the Trompo, I wanted play at TEJO, but I never played. But always played with my brother and my cousins.
In those days my and my family will go to the country, but this years I’ll stay in my house, because my boyfriend got sick. Cuac.
I don’t have a favourite 18; all the years are different, but always good.

My future life....

In 5 years later, in the future. I think that the entire world was different, political, social, and economic changes. And so, I believe that in 5 years I’ll like to be working like a geographer, in ministry’s exterior relation. But I’ll like so much living in another country, with other work, maybe in Europe, Asia, Oceania, or in any continent. I love will travel for the world, sound really funny, but also in 5 years I’m 26 years ago, this is time to start to have a family. Get married with someone, I don’t think so, but it’s an ideal time for have children.
An idea now, is buy a department with my boyfriend, but both didn’t had time to see department in the centre of Santiago. So only that I have are my parent’s house in Santiago, and a country house in Loncopangue (VIII region).
This is my idea. That is all.

MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I’m Javiera and I’m 21 years old. I was born in Santiago, Chile in 1987. I study in the university. This is my 4th year in the university.
I have a boyfriend, he called Alex, and I know him since 2 years ago. Maybe, in this year, we will buy a department, but in this moment is only an idea.

My Family, wow, my family is really crazy, My mom called Marcia, my dad Alejandro, my Brother Gonzalo, my dog Black, my turtle “tortu” and my boyfriend Alex. Now my mother and my father were in the south of Chile, in our country house. My brother, the last time how talked with him, he was in Valparaiso. He always is like this, and we for all time fighter. This is our brother/sister relation.

I think, no I’m sure that I don’t have a hobby. I’m so lazy. Maybe my hobby is eating. mmmmm….. but I’m not a fat person. I like see movies in the cinema, but not always have a time to go it. I like see sport, but I don’t practice anything.

As I say before, I study Geography, it’s a nice career, with good classmates, of curse, it always there is an exception. I will travel around the world to know more for my and my career, but I know that it’s so expensive. And so know I had that conformer with Internet, magazines, and books.

The last.....

My blog was created in 2007, in my other class (English III too), but I left the class, and so, in this semester I used the same blog.
In particular I liked writing English, different themes, copping the letters of songs, talking about movies, and leaving a messenger to my classmates. Also I like the tools of the blog, because each person chooses the colors, the type of letters and the design of the blog.

I didn’t like the hours for write, because, I always am sleepy. Also I didn’t like the extension of the post, but in my interior I think that in need this.

When I written English, helped me learn this language. In fact, this experience helped me about the grammatical, and orthography. (But maybe in need more practice). In addition, I learned English, because, me and my classmates, checked the posts of others. In my case, I checked the Johana’s blog, in particular the post “A film”

What is my favourite post??? I don’t know well, because I like the photography in my blog. I like “the lagoon El Barco” given that, I remember when I went to my vacation with my boyfriend, and the places is really amazing. It was very funny and beautiful, I never forgive that. But, also I prefer the post about Johnny Depp, because, I love him. Only it!!!

My least favourite post is Exploring BBC, because, is the most bored than I written in my blog. That day, playing football Liverpool and Chelsea, and for that, I enjoyed that class.

And finally, the best blog in the class is the Maira’s blog, I like the photos, the colors, the post. I think that her blog is very beautiful and funny. Also Maira have a video (I can’t see yet), but I believe that the video is so wonderful. Congratulations for you, you’re an artist in the CIBER world!!!

The earth and the geographers

I decided to study geography because I like the land, the water, the volcano, the people, and the society among other things. I want study geography since 2004, where I went to the school in “4° medio”. A teacher, she told me about this carrier, and so I like from that moment.
Maybe in ten years I will working in Chile, France, England or any country, I like travel around the world (this is my dream), but there are so many possibilities that I never lose. Also I will like work in government’s ministry, for example, ministry’s exterior relation, agriculture, mining and energy. I enjoy in the public field, I don’t why? But I want to.
Any professionals can help “save the planet”, but the geographers love the planet, because is our study area, we fight for the different problems who has the planet, in many fields, the pollution, deforestation, poverty, global warming. How? With knowledge in some items, and a lot of patience, because is very difficult fight for this things.
The tools that need the geographers and the most important are our mind, this is the center of our work, but also we need others and better public politics and international treaties, all of this for the good of the world.
And finally, my favourite subject is geology, because I learn very much about rock, geological structures, minerals, and now I see the different ways the mountain, the beach, and the planet…. : P

One on one with … Johnny Depp

I really, really, really would like to meet with Johnny Depp, because, he’s very handsome and I love it all his movies.
I love him from that I saw his movie called “Edward Scissorhands”, but I fallen in love him when I saw “Don Juan de Marco” ¡¡¡¡ oh my god……!!! .

If I met him, maybe I would cry like a baby…. jijijiijij it’s a joke. No, I asked, why is him, why is Johnny Depp, jajajajaja. How is your family? Witch is your next project? I don’t know. Or maybe I don’t speak very much only for my nervous.
New, I would like asked him about his movies, for example: Witch is your favorite movie that you worked? or What is the best movie? Do you like your films? or some similar.
Also, I would ask him about his band, (I believe the band called Kids) and would like ask him if he have a CD of it. I would met him in a hotel in Paris, because I don’t know this city.

Dream, it´s very easy…. But if I would met him, I would do………… : p

Exploring the BBC

The web site of the BBC is very good to learn English, because it has many sites for all. The sites are too funny, overcoat the BBC SPORT. Today is the semi final to the Champions League: Liverpool and Chelsea, and I try to listen it.
Also you can listen the news on line in many different languages, and so is much easier learn English and others languages.
Another page that you visited is the BBC learning English, in grammar and vocabulary you put on pronunciation and the computer teach you the correct pronunciation, watch and listen is an important tool, because you can understand from better the language.
Other link that I like me is BBC News, and BBC TV, because I read and read, and read all the news that I want. For example, the latest for the entire world, and the most important news. Actually in the BBC TV you find a many TV Channels.

So, the Site of the BBC is the best and is too funny for all the people who want to learn English.

A nice blog

I choose the Johana’s blog. This blog is very funny, the color is fine, but maybe is too dark. The design is very good, maybe is better than the others blogs of all my classmates. The photography is nice and beautiful; I like the photography to her favourite web site. In particularity her post is interesting; I don’t boring when I read. Also I have to say, that the letters is too little. Jhoy, write with the bigger letter!!!!! Please. And some times, your try to change the color of the letter, but the design of your blog, is the best!!!!

A film
Frequently I don't go to cinema ... but one day my friend Cristina invited myself to her hose in the weekend. This time we saw a movie, it call "Wicker park" ... she told me very much of this movie.

This movie treats of Matthew (Josh Hartnett) sees Lisa (Diane Kruger) on a camera's videotape that was left by a customer to be repaired at the photo shop. Lisa has a mesmerizing effect upon him, and when he sees Lisa window-shopping across the street, he follows her to find out who she is. He meets her in a shoe store and gets a date. They soon fall in love, and it changes his whole life, because now everything is perfect. She is a professional dancer, and whenever she gets time off, they meet in Chicago's Wicker Park. One day after he wants her to move in with him, Matthew goes to Lisa's home and finds that Lisa has vanished without leaving a message or calling him. Matthew gets a job in New York and tries to forget Lisa. After two years, Matthew has moved on, and now he is about to be engaged to the boss's sister. Matthew's job is now located in Chicago, and he runs into his best friend in front of a restaurant. A few minutes latter, Matthew thinks he sees Lisa in the restaurant, and it triggers his emotions. He puts his life on hold to search for her. He must discover the reason she left him two years earlier. It's a film very interesting because isn't only drama, too have a mystery, emotion, lies, problems and very thingh moore.

I love this song, because their lyrics and music, is very armonic. Michael Bublé, he is Canadian, he is a singer of jazz, blues, and old music.
The music’s Michael bublé is called “modern Swing”, and his favourite singer is Frank Sinatra, Nina Simone, Louis Armstrong, Bobby Darin.
He born 9 September 1975 in Vancouver, Canada.
The First album who has, called “Michael Bublé” (2003), the next album called “Come fly with me” (2004), and the album of this song called It’s Time (2005).
Actually, he has six album, and anothers in “live”, and he winning many grammys and others prizes.

The first time when i hear this song was three years ago, because i was search all his music.
I like this type of music, Is very funny, beautiful and when i heard this song, it calms me. And i dreaming that i dance with my dancers in the ballroom…slow, slow, quick, quick slow….

Lagoon "El Barco"

In this Vacation, i went to lagoon el barco, this lagoon is near to the city Los Angeles, in the region del Bío Bío and the littles towns like to Santa Bárbara, Quilaco, Ralco.

The lagoon is in the east, in the mountain. The people how live here called PEHUENCHES.

I went with my brother (gonzalo), my little friend (maureen) and my boyfriend(Alex). We went walking in about 12 kilometers, and the rest of way in a bus. For to arrive is about 130 kilometers from Santa Bárbara to the Lagoon.

The place is the most Beautiful that i never see, because is surrouder for montains and araucarias (is a old forest), and the lagoon is in the middle of this. The water is very nice, the temperature too, and the nights is amasing, because the wind and the Thunders and lightnings they are so wonderful. The Camping "Laguna el barco" cost $1.500 one night, and count with water, tables, toilets, but don't with electricity. You can swing, you can go to fishing in the others things.

You can go in december, January, february and march, because in the others months, the climate is awful.
